This site allows you, from one place, to opt out of the marketing programs that the credit reporting agencies deal in. This opt out prevents them from providing mailing lists of individuals with certain credit scores or balances on loans to be sold to marketing agencies. It remains private.

By filling out this form you can permanently opt out. This will stop pre-approved credit cards, mortgages, insurance etc.
